Our family began with Meg and I getting married in 2004. The next few years were filled with many blessings and trials- salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood and resurrection of God’s only Son Jesus Christ, a miscarriage, the birth of our children, an intense but successful battle with cancer, and being called by God into the ministry of preaching the Gospel.

Though the Lord gave us a love for international missions from the beginning He allowed us time to gain much needed education and experience. This preparation came through twelve years of pastoring and evangelism. During this time, we were blessed to collaborate with some wonderful people and make use of many wonderful opportunities. Meg and I both received degrees in biblical studies, engaged in planning, hosting, and directing events for youth, missions, and marriage enrichment. As well as, ministering through wedding planning and pre/post marital counseling. God also allowed us to take part in short-term trips around the Southeast US, Israel, Jamaica, and Nepal to labor in preaching, discipleship, and physical aid.

During all of this we consistently sought the Lord to direct our paths and order our steps, which led us to a year of specific prayer and research concerning long-term international missions. Believing that God’s will and desires should be our own, regardless of challenges, threats, or the unknown, in July of 2020 we surrendered our lives to His call for international missions. We felt strongly that we should trust the Lord by offering ourselves to go anywhere that He wanted to send us and praying that He would use us to “stand in a gap” where the need was great. In answering this, we were led to ABWE International and the South American nation of Uruguay.
